The History of Saint Elizabeth Elementary School In 1908, Rev. William D. Temple, in keeping with the tradition of founding a church and, almost immediately thereafter, a parochial school, asked that it be staffed by the Benedictine Sisters of Ridgely, Maryland.  Although the parish was just established, the enrollment that year was 294 students.  The school operated from a building on Broom Street.  Parishioner...
